CAROLYN

Carolyn Good is certified as both a Health Coach and a Life Coach with her practice based in Northern California. Carolyn collaborates with her clients to clarify intentions, manage stress, navigate through current challenges and achieve a life in balance. Carolyn teaches the power of intention, cause and effect, and is passionate about assisting each client on their own personal journey to step into their personal power. Carolyn is available for one-on-one coaching and also facilitates group coaching, workshops and retreats. She is the mother of three young adults.

I have been on the path to be an entrepreneur, specifically in the field of coaching for a very long time.

As a teen I had a fascination with psychology and brain science but was encouraged and steered in the direction of design, perhaps because my father was a very talented and passionate architect. I earned a degree in Interior Architecture and found that I enjoyed the psychology behind design and learning how to implement programming needs for each specific client's needs. Solving space planning, design, and communication challenges proved rewarding. 

In 1994 my first child was born. As a new wife and mother, I was fortunate to have the choice to leave my career to become a stay-at-home mom. I wouldn't change that for the world, but what I experienced along with all the joy, was a gradual disconnect. Over the years I simply lost my balance in life, my identity, and my clear sense of boundaries. I became so blinded by perfectionism and my intense focus on paving a smooth and happy road for my family, that I found myself hopelessly lost and neglected. I simply stopped acknowledging my wins, honoring myself and satisfying my needs. Guess who suffered? My family. They were not getting the best version of me. They were getting the tired, depleted and sometimes cranky version.

My children matured and blossomed from tiny humans into amazing young adults. My husband, an incurable entrepreneur, advanced his profession and pursued his personal passions. I meanwhile, continued to loose my way, faltering as my confidence and identity faded. I enjoyed every possible comfort and blessing, yet I was not fulfilled. I knew it was time to take responsibility for my happiness and the direction of my life.

I began to immerse myself in education to discover how myself and others could live a happy, healthy, and balanced life. I began the journey of self empowerment.

Through my studies of health and fitness, psychology, brain science, nutrition, and yoga, and as a certified Holistic Health and Wellness Life Coach and expert of habit change, I now thrive and find fulfillment through helping other women find their personal power and life balance.

Additionally, I am a certified yoga instructor. I have embraced this spiritual practice, that encourages one to experience compassion, connection and love for over 30 years.

You may wonder what does Yoga have to do with Coaching? Yoga is so much more than a physical path to wellbeing. Yoga's ancient principles integrate beautifully and provide proven strategies to overcome life's challenges. Yoga helps us to establish harmony and balance in our life, physically, mentally and spiritually. With a regular practice, yoga will promote calmness and stability in the body, clarity and strength in the mind, and freedom and joy in the soul.

It's easy to feel a lack of self-worth, a ton of frustration, and general anxiety when we're in a gray area and we don't know what to do next in our life.
